How Technology will Transform Transportation

The Transportation Research Forum, Women’ Transportation Seminar, and Young Professionals in Transportation DC chapter’s are happy to announce our 6th annual Joint August transportation event titled “How Technology will Transform Transportation” on August 12, 2015 in Reason Foundation’s DC office from 5:30-7:00 pm.

The first part of the event will feature a happy hour with hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. Attendees are encouraged to mix and mingle with other DC transportation professionals. The second part of the event will seek to answer the question how “Technology will Transform Transportation.

The event will feature Regina Hopper President of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America discussing new roadway technologies including automated vehicles, Steve Ditmeyer retired from the Federal Railroad Administration discussing railway technologies including positive train control and Jennifer Weeks of WMATA discussing transit technologies  including fare policy, communications and efficiency.

The cost is $15 and can be paid in advance or the day of the event.
